Perhaps add the ability for the user to download a CSV file which can
easily be opened in Excel and can be used as the datasource for a Word
Mail Merge.

Write the data in plain text to the browser window, and the user can
save the results as a plain text file and then import the data into
Excel or whatever application they want.

Hi there I've just been playing around with some python code and I've got a fun little optimization problem I could use some help with. Basically, the program needs to take in a random list of no more than 10 letters, and find all possible mutations that match a word in my dictionary (80k words). However a wildcard letter '?' is also an acceptable character which increases the worst case time significantly. So if the letters are check...

Is it possible to export a report to word and have it include the graphics that are in the report? I'd like to take some of our reports and export them to word so we can email those to the client, but when I export, I lose the logo as well as any graphics (grey line separaters, etc) and only get the text of the reports.

Hi! I'm using the RTF2 Control from Lebans web site with MS Access 2000. It's working very good. Now i want to create a letter with the formated text of the RTF2 control in MS Word 2000, but it shows all the code inside and not the formating ... I'm not using vba-code, i'm making the letter by hand (as a serial letter in Word with the Access-DB as data source). How can i create a letter which looks like the report in Word? Is it possible...

I'm having trouble with exporting reports to Word in the rtf format and I'm hoping someone has a solution. The reports are losing their formats. Not all the formating is lost but some is and of course it's the really important parts that are lost. In one report the grouping is lost and everything gets repeated. I've created several reports that pull data from various tables then they get exported to Word when they're run so the user can...

Hi, I'm writting an application based on an SQL Server for Order Management. I have some data I want to export to Excel and Word, maybe some day I will implement a serial letter. The problem is I don't have Office installed on my Computer. Is there something I can use for this task on the MSDN-DVDs? Where can I find a couple tutorials on dealing with things like that on the web???

I am facing the following problem while exporting data to Word. The current implementation is as described below: I have a JSP file which has a link that enables you to export the data to Word. Clicking on the link invokes a javascript function: function showRTF() { var newWin = window.open("", "newWin","width=900,height=800%,scrollbars=yes,menubar=yes,resizable=yes,too

Hi folks; Hey wow! First post! Hope it bears fruit... Anyway, I've been teaching myself Access since March by writing an event/contact management database for the firm I work for. It's reasonably straightforward, it just records details on our clients among other thihgs. The old Lotus DB it (supposedly!) supercedes had a handy feature that I've so far had no luck in replicating in Access. It worked as follows: 1. The user browsed to a...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
