You have wasted even more time by posting to this newsgroup about
classical ASP with a question about ASP.NET/C#. Try
microsoft.publi c.dotnet.framew ork.aspnet
instead.

I can't answer the question, but I'm fascinated as to why a 100 millisecond
difference in response time is so critical.
Make sure you use an IP address, instead of machinename. DNS might be taking
the extra time

Hi...
I've come across some weird bug with Response.Cookies. Or maybe it will be
called "by design" but for the life of me I can't figure out what purpose it
would serve. If you're setting a cookie (say Response.Cookies ("TEST")) and
you have a query string variable &test=x or &Test=x and you get
Request.QueryString to parse the query string, the cookie that gets dropped
matches the case of the query string, not what your code says. ...

Hi folks,
I have an infuriating problem. I have a number of pages that I want to cache
server-side only, using varybycustom. I have implemented a
GetVaryByCustomString in my global.asax. I am setting the caching behaviour
in the Page_Load as follows:
Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.ServerAndNoCache)
Response.Cache.SetValidUntilExpires(True)

Hi,
I have an Access application installed on a network server that is
accessed by several users. It isn't split into a front-end/back-end (I
know it should be but when I've tried, the response time for all users
is unacceptable). It has been working fine for many months, for all
users. Recently, for one user, the response time has been unacceptable
with a form taking 3-4 minutes to load that use to only take a few
seconds.

Hi,
I really need you help because I'm not very familliar with ASP and I
could not find any solution to my problem.
To put you in situation, I have a CGI to which I send a file name, and
that script return me that file. But for security reason, I don't want
to publish the address of this CGI, so I encapsulated it in an ASP
file. This way, only this ASP file knows where the CGI is.

HttpContext.Current.Response.AddHeader("content-disposition",
"attachment;filename=" + strOutputFilename);
long lngSize = GetFileSize(strFTPURL, strFileName);

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
