Troubleshooting XP apache setup w/Bellsouth DSL

2 New Member
I have installed Apache in XP and would like to access it from a remote computer. On my wireless local network using Linksys I can access apache with IE and the IP address so I think Apache is working correctly. Bellsouth gave me a static ip but, using it does not resolve to my Apache server. I have turned off the XP firewall and removed the Linksys router as part of my trouble shooting effort. I am using the Apached default port 80. What else can I do to troubleshoot this?

Okay. I'm still can't get Apache to restart after changing the httpd config file. I've upgraded my installation to 5.2. Apache 2.2.3 runs fine without any PHP additions. 1) I added my PHP directory, C:/PHP5, to my PATH 2) I copied php.ini-recommended to my C:/windows directory and renamed it php.ini 3) I made the following changes to PHP.ini doc_root = "c:/inetpub/wwwroot" extension_dir = "c:/php5/ext" 4) I made the following changes...

Hello, If you could assist me with the following situation, I would be very grateful. In my current position, we have to use a non-traditional server setup to serve PHP-generated web pages. Instead of the classic web server->database server setup, what they have at my workplace instead is: Apache on a frontend server -needing to connect to IIS on a backend server -needing to connect to SQL Server on the same backend server. This setup...

I've searched, I've read, I've tested and re-read numerous post but to no avail yet... Quite simply, the settings I've applied to my httpd.conf, httpd-vhost.conf and my hosts files simply does not work. Please review my work and let me know if you see that one little thing that is throwing me for a loop. HTTPD.CONF # # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the # configuration directives that give the...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
