Is there a Transaction timeout setting in Tomcat ?

1 New Member
Is there a configuration setting that will let me specify the amount of time when a transaction or request will timeout because of no response ? I see the setting connectionTimeo ut, but the description in the documentation of 'number of milliseconds after accepting a connection, for the request URI to be presented' doesn't seem to match what I want to configure. Is there another setting that I am missing or will connectionTimeo ut do what I intend?
Thank you.

I don't remember off the top of my head, but I'm sure you could find it here:

http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-3.3-doc/

Did you try to set that and see what happened (are you in an environment where you can do that)?

Hi everyone, I'm running into a problem with my ASP.Net application. I've just created a new aspx page which uses some new components of mine that inherit from ServicedComponent and are designed to run under COM+. This page works fine, unless I get fancy and hit my browser's refresh button quickly, as a test. Then, what I see happen is the transactions pile up and my ASP.Net "current requests" do the same. This happens even with two...

Our asp.net web app uses a .NET component (DLL) in the bin directory to call several stored procedures back to back to perform updates. They don't return any data. Sometimes the total execution time can take 2-3 minutes, but even though I have set the executionTimeout in web.config to a high number of seconds (2400), the request will still time out after 90 seconds. The user sees a Request timed out error. The app logs a ThreadAborted...

Timeout Calling Web Service I am calling a .NET 1.1 web service from an aspx page. The web service can take several minutes to complete its tasks before returning a message to the aspx page. If the web service is taking a long time to complete, the aspx page returns a ‘The operation has timed-out.’ Message to the web browser after 100 seconds. I’ve added: <httpRuntime executionTimeout="300" /> to the web.config files

By default, IIS is configured to timeout a session in 20 minutes, which can be changed through the IIS config window. I use InProc sessionState mode. I can also set the session timeout in web.config. So here is my question: If IIS setting has a session timeout value of 20 minutes, but my web.config setting has a session timeout of 30 minutes, will the session time out in 20 minutes or in 30 minutes?

Dear Community Members, Ours is a Windows Application where we are using Remoting to connect our application server (running as a Windows Service). We are using SQL Server 2000 SP3 as database. At a certain instance while performing a huge transaction (when our application updates some 9000+ records) we are getting the following error: at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
