Conditional Formatting on additional columns

1 New Member
I have a Report that pulls an employee status to one column. I would like to add a conditional format to additional columns depending on what is in the first column. For example... If the first column says that the employee is on their first year of probation (P1) then it will grey out the following columns except for 2 specific ones that will only pertain to P1. Is this possible?

Yes, but you have to do the conditional formatting separately on each field in your report.

Now I am assuming the first control is called P1 and is bound to a field P1 in your underlying table / query and that is a True / False type data

In the Conditional Formatting "Wizard" chose Expression

Then the Expression will be
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. [P1] = True
  2.
Then set your format for that condition.

NB When using conditional formatting, be careful to enclose any field names with square brackets[]
