Microsoft Access 2003 - How to view hyperlink image using ...?

1 New Member
Microsoft Access 2003

I have hyperlink the image/picture to another file.
When I click on the hyperlink, the image appears using MS Paint.
What do I do to view Image/picture in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer instead of MS Paint.

The Folder Options in Windows XP is already showing as using Windows Picture with Little Box checked (Always).

When I click on the Image/Picture File directly, it opens up with the correct Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.

I appreciate your help. Thank you.

You could try using a shell command to open the picture viewer and passing the image file to it to open.
I use the following code to open an excel file
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. file = "path of exce lfile"
  2. Shell "excel.exe " & file, vbNormalFocus
I don't know the path you'd have to put for the picture viewer but it should work the same.

Obviously that would need to be a 'on click event' and not a hyperlink though.
