Locking Information

64 New Member
Good afternoon.

I am ready to deploy a database using access 2007. Been pretty happy with the development process. However, the application will be used over a terminal server network...windows terminal server 2003. In testing on the network, the application works fine with my local desktop and a link directly to the server using a designated f:\.

When the database is being shared it creates a file named databasename.laccdb file which is supposed to hold the record locking info. This file disappears when everybody is logged out.

My question is can that file be manipulated, opened, or read to see what is going on. Is it possible that the record sharing settings are not correct? should I open the database with record level locks, no locks or edited record locks.

Those users that try to use the applicationn throught terminal server are unable to save records. They can enter records and all of the tables show up in the various combo boxes etc.

Does this have anything to do with original database settings related to record locking?

Thansk in advance.
