Microsoft Access Vista - Emailing Problems, help please!

1 New Member
Hi,
I have recently had my work PC upgraded to Access Vista. I am saving the files as 2000 version and need to email them to a colleague (running 2000). My problem is that I dont seem to be able to do this. I have tried sending it from outlook, gmail & hotmail to outlook & gmail and either can't send them or dont receive them .

I keep been told that the message has been blocked or is potentially unsafe. I understand that this is possibly be because its an mdb file? If so will changing the extension to something else work? How do I do this?

I would really appreciate any help that anyone can give me to make this work!!

It is because it is an mdb file and amongst other file extensions they are included as blocked because of the vulnerability issues related to email

Click on the mdb file right click and 'send to compressed zipped folder' then mail the folder by the conventional method once your recipient receives it they simply rightclick on the folder and EXTRACT ALL the contents out to an mdb file again to an area on the disk of their choosing
