Opening an application from MS Access

Within MS Access I wish to open an application called EditPlus. How
do I open an external application from within MS Access ? I know how
to open Word or Excel using MS Aceess VB, but not a non-Microsoft
application.

Perhaps I should have been more explicit.
You need to be in the VBA window to find this help.

Open a code window (or press Ctrl+G).
Click the Help button (or choose Help on the menu.)
Search for:
Shell
