Thanks all
Sending an xls file and then manually making the pivot is not
an option. There are just too many emails and files I send
weekly for me to do this. I am out of town frequently and I
need the automation. Also many of the customers are not "pivot
wise" and so I do not expect them to execute the pivot.
I will try the crosstab again..there are ways to make the
crosstab without using the wizard that I found here that might
allow me more flexibility http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/
Thanks
Jerry
Yes, the Crosstab Wizard is more like the Sorcerer's Apprentice.
Doing crosstabs manually is a snap. Then you can do other things
to expand on that..
I have one query that joins four crosstabs of the same data, to
give me sum, avg, min and max for a year by month, against 30
assemblers.
