Sending a Pivot Table by Mail

I have a series of macros that send various queries as xls files to
clients. The scheduling of the sending is done by calling the macro
from the Windows Task Scheduler

All work great, except sending a pivot table.
I've tried to send via every format available, and I cannot get Access
to send the format as it is displayed on the screen..I just get an xls
file of the raw data, not the pivoted data

Is there a way to do this please?
Thanks
Jerry

Transfer the raw data, then convert to a pivot table in Excel.

Alternative: see if a Crosstab query will do what you want, and
export that instead.

Try a crosstab as suggested or if you have multiple column headings
(which is not possible with the standard crosstab) you could try a
utility like MegaCrosstab. www.megacrosstab.com .I dont want to spam
the group, but it is something that would solve your problem.

Another option is to export the pivot table to excel from the pivot
table toolbar and send the excel pivot table via mail.

Thanks all
Sending an xls file and then manually making the pivot is not an
option. There are just too many emails and files I send weekly for me
to do this. I am out of town frequently and I need the automation.
Also many of the customers are not "pivot wise" and so I do not expect
them to execute the pivot.

I will try the crosstab again..there are ways to make the crosstab
without using the wizard that I found here that might allow me more
flexibility http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/

Thanks

Yes, the Crosstab Wizard is more like the Sorcerer's Apprentice.
Doing crosstabs manually is a snap. Then you can do other things
to expand on that..
I have one query that joins four crosstabs of the same data, to
give me sum, avg, min and max for a year by month, against 30
assemblers.

I'm just getting around to using pivot tables and charts. I find the Pivot table interface to be INCREDIBLY frustrating. When I view a table in Design view, then choose Pivot table view, I get the PivotTable Field list, from which I can choose to add fields to the view. 1. How do you get RID of a field once you put it in? I can not right click on anywhere in the view and have ANY of the submenu options be availble. From the PivotTable...

I'm creating a pivot table using vb.net and the data is from sqlserver (desktop). I have been successful at creating the pivot table, which includes a 'date' column field. I'd like to group the date column field by months and quarters, but can't come up with the correct code. Here is the code I've written to create the pivot table. Any help to code grouping the date column field would be appreciated. Thanks, Jerry

I've got something called "Reference Rates". The idea is that on a given day, we have various rates of return for various entities. e.g. Libor 3-month return, Libor 6-month return, US Treasury Bonds, the Prime rate, and so-forth. We associate a security with one of those rates. There are a set of rates for each calendar day, and the rates for that

I have created a pivot table making reference to a query. It works perfectly well. However, when I go out of the database and then back in the pivot table appears as a "form". I have checked the properties and everyhting appears to reference to pivot table. Can you please advise what I need to do to see the pivot table each...

Hello, I have an Access Data Access Page which has a pivot table. The data source of the pivot table is a SQL database table. The data in the pivot table itself is not a problem. When I click on a record in the pivot table, I want the Address for that selected record to be displayed in the textbox below. What I have currently...

I really need help!!! I dont know if its possible to share pivot tables, or see pivot tables in other machines that the one where the tables were created. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
