Lost and Found Database

Has anyone come across a Lost and Found database to track a hotel's
lost and found items?
I would be curious to review a system of such.

I've created one myself and have a question regarding design.

A lost and found record can have two different contact types. One is
the reporting person and the second is the owner (if known).

What would a good design be to have both of these on the lost and found
form? I could create two different subforms (one reporting person and
one owners information) but I rather have one table called Contacts
with all the contact information and a contact type of either Reporting
Party or Owner.

I guess my question is - can a form use the same table for two
different subforms? Then in the subforms I filter based on either
Reporting Party or Owners Information?

Thanks
-B
