Force 4 digits in field

Hello folks,

Is there a way to always have a field populated with 4 digits even if
three digits may sometimes be entered into it? I am using a table in
which I import files that have 3 or 4 digits for the field value. But I
would like all the 3 digit numbers to automatically get a leading "0",
such as if 356 is entered, it should automatically get saved as 0356.

Any clues would be great help.

Thanks to all.
Kevin

It worked for me. What's the field's data type? Did you get any errors?

If the data type is "Text", change it to "Number".
