Importing

G
I have this table called cheques. There is another external database with
the same table (same fields etc). When i import the data from this external
database into mine, it simply creates a new table called Cheques1. How can
i arrange that it simply imports all that data directly into my cheque table
?
thanks.

Link that table to your main database. It may be named Cheques1.
Then write an append query to copy over the data. Something like:
insert into Cheques
select * from Cheques1
