Calling oracle stored procedure with parms from MS Access 2002.

Raj
Hi,

Does anybody know how to call an oracle stored procedure ( with
parameters ofcourse) from MS Access 2002.

I want to invoke an oracle stored procedure which takes 2 parameters.
Thanks,
Raj.

You'll need to use a pass-through query. You'll have to alter the SQL to
include the value of the parameters before you call it: unlike normal Access
queries, pass-through queries are incapable of either prompting for
parameter values or using values from open forms.

You could try something like this:

'CREATE PASS-THRU ON FLY, EXECUTE, DON'T SAVE

Set qitem = db.CreateQueryDef("")
qitem.Connect = "ODBC;DSN=Oracle dsnname;UID=userid;PWD=password"
qitem.ReturnsRecords = False
qitem.ODBCTimeout = 15
qitem.sql = "CALL Function(param list)"
qitem.Execute
Set qitem = Nothing
