Help on choosing a right font with Epson TM-U210

Hi Everybody,

This is the problem:

I have a Epson (POS) TM-U210 printer, I tried for several hours almost all
the fonts under windows 98 se, but what is printed out is of very poor
quality (not clear at all). Who can tell me where is the problem?

thanks in advance for any help,

Paul

Paul,

Try here: - http://members.driverguide.com/drive...driverid=84732

It may be that this will install some usable fonts. I have an Okidata
which wouldn't print well but after installing a driver from
www.driverguide.com got a font called "utility" which prints
perfectly.

Thank you very much, David.

But I did not find a driver for TM-U210B, the driver that driverguide offers
is a TM-u210D.
I searched through google but couldn't find a font called "utility".

Can you help?

Paul,

Try: - https://www.epson-pos.com/cgi-bin/sd...ucts/index.htm

On the right of the screen click "register" and follow the
instructions. There are a number of drivers there dependant on your
version of windows.

I couldn't find the utility font by searching either! It is built in
to the driver for the printer I mentioned. It is installed
automatically when the driver is installed - my thought was that this
may be the case with your printer.

You could also try only using printer fonts on your reports (the ones
with the little printer icon next to them)

Short of that I am kinda stuck as to what else you could try.
Possibly send an email to Epsom asking for pointers?

Sounds a good idea, but what are printer fonts. I checked the manuel but can
not find any fonts mentioned.

Thanks for help,
