Report running sum-Help with DSum

I have been searching for an answer to my problem and have found it in
an old post and specifically Allen Browne's response. The link to this
post is below.

I am having trouble referencing my particulars according to Allen's
example. When I don't get a syntax error I get a Name? error. I have
looked at the help but can't seem to get it right. Here are my
specifics:

Report Name: "Union" (Grouped by my field "MatNumber" and set to
Running Sum
Record Source is a Select query: "UnionBalance"
Date range is set by a form: "frmEnterDate" (Start Date and End Date)
Date field is called: "DateReceived"
The running sum field is called "Balance"

I put an unbound text box in the Report Header with the DSum info.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks,

Len Coleson

However, when I place a field on the page footer to display the total count for the group,...
