My IIf expression in query field reads:
UD: iif([field2]<6,"D","I")
field2 is a calculation field. The response I get is "The expression you entered contains invalid syntax. You may have entered an operand without an operator". Help!!

The query is exactly as described. More - you will know it is an MS Access Query wherein I want to use IIF to draw info from another "field2" and the question asked is if the info drawn is <6 the true answer should be "D" if not "I". This might be superfluous info as you in all probability would see it in the expression given. Maybe I should use another function to get a better result? Maybe this IIF is for text only and not to check on a number? The expression should be correct but perhaps not correctly used?

We have no doubt that the query is exactly as described. This is why we would like to see the entire query, so we can examine it. Just copy and paste it here so we can see it.

i read a few posts about global function access. well i am not interested in global functions. rather, i am seeking for a way to may my call in ASPX pages but not the code behind. for example: in a datagrid bind() in ASPX: <%# container.dataitem("date") %> i'd like to call <%# specialFormat( container.dataitem("date") ) %> I noticed that format from VB is available here.

::links not allowed, please read the Posting Guidelines:: The function readit() seems to jump to writeit() when it shouldn't in read.c This has got me stumped. After inside the readit() gets called it seems to when the function ends it seems to just process the writeit() when it isn't being called. Any help would be much appreciated :P

We have about 2 dozen security officers who patrol about 120 buildings. They find defective or unlocked doors and write a "Trouble Report" on the door. This card gets turned in, where I have designed an Access Field and Table to enter the information and store it. They then get emailed to their respective supervisors so the problems can be dealt with. As of right now, we have a big list on the wall of the buildings and their supervisors....

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
