You can use the Nz() function to return 0 for fields that are Null:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Balance: Nz([Receipt], 0) + Nz([Retrun], 0) + Nz([Previous], 0) - Nz([Sale], 0)
Hope this hepps!

I am a novice working in Access 2002 trying to run a query I created. I am receiving the error "scaling of decimal value resulted in data trunction", which I have determined is due to this calculation: I.UNITS*Count(T.ENROLLMENTSTATUS)/8 AS DAYS My query includes 6 joins but it happens with just 1 join or all of them. If I pull this calculation out, it works fine. In design view, I have tried to adjust the decimal property to every possible...

This is the page where I collect the data in drop-down boxes with values of 1-10 and send it to a submitted page to do calculations. Example: Employee1 TeamScore(1-10) Employee2 TeamScore(1-10) Employee3 TeamScore(1-10) Employee4 TeamScore(1-10) Then I submit this page with all the values in TeamScore for every employee and I want to perform a calculation based on the values in the drop-down and a

Okay, I was asked by a friend about the result of this limit: http://bbs.newwise.com/attdata/forumid_14/20070922_fe7f77c81050413a20fbDWYOGm7zeRj3.jpg Not n->zero but n-> + infinite I really know nothing about advanced math, so I wrote a C program to help me: (BTW, I guess the result would be ln2.) #include <stdio.h>

I'm trying to write a procedure that will enable button on a sheet (and colour it red), but ONLY when changes are made to cells in column E of that sheet (from row 10 to the bottom of the used-range). However, at present, when I edit a cell in column E, nothing happens to the button (it is currently grey and disabled). I've tried using Microsoft's VBA online help, and also my bible (Excel VBA for dummies) but haven't found any clues so...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
