I want to solve non linear equation using folve()

Do we have any function such as folve() the one that we have in MATLAB. I find this function convenient to solve non linear equation.

If not, then what alternate you suggest. Please explain

Perhaps your question would be better posed in a MATLAB forum. I suspect there's no reason for an Access user to know about folve() unless they are also a MATLAB user.

Or you might try to explain to us what folve() is.

Know your audience.

wasseypurian,

I believe you are referring to the FSolve() function, which Access does not have. However, it may be possible to create a function to do so, but solving non-linear equations is not my forte, so I would defer to the mathematicians for guidance.

you would be better off connecting matlab to the database

Hi. I'm using boost::numerics::ublas to solve linear symmetric and hermitian systems (cholesky, qr, etc.). I'm aware that ublas only provide basic algebra operations (blas1, blas2 and blas3) so i've tried some other libraries to work with ublas, with no success so far. In order to do so i downloaded boost::numerics::bindings (which aren't available in www.boost.org right now but in the list which boost developers have in yahoo), those...

I am looking for a apropriate c library to solve my sparse linear equation system. I have n variables and m equations. m might be less, equal or greater then n!!!! If there are less equations than variables, the system should effectively set undefined variables to 0

Write a C program that uses Newton's Method to solve an equation in one variable. Try solving x^x = ln2 the deriviative of x^x is x^x(lnx + 1). The 'ln' function in C is log(), and the value for ln2 is approximately .693147180559945 (to 15 places, about the limit of double precision). Test for convergence using a tolerance of about 1e-10 (that is, look at the absolute value of new_x - old_x and require this to be less than 1e-10...

hi guys.. i got a problem.. could anyone help me write a program.. the program is as follows:- 2. Solving systems of Linear equations using Iteration: You are required to write a C++ program which will solve system of linear equations with 3 or 4 unknowns (to be entered by the user). Your program should display a menu which will allow the user to choose whether he wants to (1) enter the number of unknowns, coefficients details, ......

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
