Access (07) Package Deployment Wizard problem

Hi,

I've used the Package Deployment Wizard without too many issues in the past, but in packaging an early (un-finished beta!) version of my latest DB, I get a message sying "Computing Disk Space Requirements". There is a button on the message box that says 'Return'. There the message sticks, apparently forever; attempting 'Return' or Close makes the whole install wobble to a halt.

Anyone seen this before/have a solution?

Many thanks,

stonward.

When I created an application in VB6 on a XP Pro machine, I used the Package Deployment Wizard to create a setup program. When installing on it on another XP PRO machine, the message says that system files are too old and will be replaced, then asks for restart. But, after restarting the machine, the setup always says that system files are too old and asks for a restart? Catch 22! Help, Bill

Good Afternoon, I need to distribute an application which includes the run time files for Access 2002. I do have the Office XP Developer CD’s. The application itself is written in VB 6 with an Access back-end. I have created a number of reports in Access and I am starting them from the Visual Basic Front End. However, I have a number of users who do not have a copy of Access which means they will obviously need the run time files. ...

I'm trying to create a "standalone" install package (without any of the dialog boxes that a standard setup package would have). I think I understand how to do it in VB6 (using PDCmdLn.exe); I have already researched this subject in the MSDN for VB6. Here is the problem: I'm trying to execute a batch file containing this command and I'm running into a couple of errors. Here is the contents of the batch file: ...

I'm having trouble entering Additional Registry Keys into my Package Solution that will deploy the Access 2007 runtime. (Client machine is running XP with Office 2007 Standard.) The Package Solution Wizard, on about page 3, has a section for entering Additional Registry Keys. I want to include a locations key that will identify my install directory as a Trusted Location, thereby turning off the Security Alert when users open the ACCDR. ...

Hi. I'm trying to distribute installers to upgrade a database, using Access 2007 Developer Extensions Package Deployment Wizard, and it doesn't let you install as an upgrade - you have to first uninstall the old version. My understanding is that this is not the expected behavior. Is there anything I can do to make it work? Thanks.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
