I've been clicking around Access 2007 Beta 2 and can't see the custom
menu bar designer. Is it in the beta? Maybe I'm blind. The question
that comes to mind is: Will custom menu bars be the same height as they
were in previous versions or will they be the "ribbon" style that takes
up a huge portion of the screen?
Also when I use Access 2007 to open an Access 2003 database that has
custom menu bars they display as they did in Access...

Hi
I am currently using Visual Studio.Net 2003 running on Windows Server 2000
operating system.
I have used Visual Studio.net 2003 connecting to Access 2002 databases in
the pass with great success.
Now, I have a need to go to Access 2007 which produces database.accdb file
instead of database.mdb.
I've used ole db Jet 4.0 to connect to Access 2002 in Visual Studio.Net
2003, now I guess you need to use Microsoft Ace 12.0 to make a...

Hi All,
I've searched all over to try to figure this out, to no avail. I need to have some method to determine who's logged into an Access 2007 file. I've seen techniques for reading the old .ldb file format, but they don't seem to work with the new .laccdb file format.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!
Cheers,

I have created an Access 2007 database that will be used by about 200 users. The front end will reside on the users desktop and the back end will be on a network folder. I used the database splitter to split the database and put the backend on the network drive. I email the frontend to a few users to test and some of them had access issues. Users recieved error code 3044 stating that the path is not valid. I think it has something to do with...

I have created an access 2007 database that is split into a frontend/backend. The frontend is located in the MyDocuments folder of each user. The backend is on a folder on a shared network drive. All users have Change access to the folder where the backend resides. The problem is it seem that I am the only person who can add/update/delete records in the database. When someone other than myself tries to delete a record the project returns error...

I have an access 2007 database (ABC) and I want to import a form from a different 2007 access database (DEF). I go into ABC.mdb and I chose 'get external data' and I select 'access' and browse to get to the DEF.mdb. I select DEF.mdb and then I choose a form I want to import into ABC.mdb. However, when I do, I get a message that states I have to supply the password for DEF.mdb. I go over to DEF.mdb and I enter the password and I am trying to...

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
