Hi,
I am working on a genealogy form. The only table (so far) lists everybody
in the family, one record per person. Each record has an autonum ID.
The parent form (frmMainForm) displays the data in each record, which
includes the ID of the father and the mother (who also have records in the
table). One record per form.
I have a Tab Control in the form, and in one of the tabs I have a subform
(sfmSiblings) in which I wish to list...

Hi all,
A subForm control, txtTotalSubForm contains a total from one of the fields
on this subForm . The mainForm contains a combo, myCombo which filters, and
updates the details on the subForm. I want this update to pass the value in
txtTotalSubForm to a control txtMainForm, on the main form. Ive tried using
the parent property, but this is not adequate since I must click onto the
subform to trigger it (on current event of the subform)....

I have a table of about 6000 clients which have unique client numbers.
I am creating a data entry form to log contacts with the clients. I
want the client information (Name, Sales Rep, phone number, etc) to
autopopulate fields on the form when the client number is entered. I
have seen this done on another database I have access to, but have
been unseccessfull in recreating it. Can anyone point me in the right
direction?

I have a simple form with 4 fields, and a subform that retrieves records that are potential matches based on a query.
The user will use the ID from the subform record and enter it into one of the fields on the main form (this is how the match will be stored).
Is there a way using a button/macro to populate the parent form's field with the ID of the subform record that is currently selected?

I need to, ultimately, create a flatfile for exporting insurance information to a third-party vendor. Each individual is to have no more than 1 line per file, which contains their coverage information, if any, on 4 different type of insurance. What i need is for 1 field in a table to determine the output for multiple fields in the flatfile.

Okay this is the situation I have two forms and they have a 1:M relationship. I don't have enough space screen-wise to do a traditional "drag form to form" to create a subform so what I did was create command buttons that open the subform when I click on it.
I added a filter to the VBA that filters the results of the subform to display only records that match the linking field of the two forms. And it those and would filter but..I am having...

I get the "this record has been changed by another user since you started editing it" message when I first make an edit in a subform then click on anything in the parent area. It won't give me the option to save, just "copy to clipboard" or "drop."
Both the parent and the subform use the same table in their RecordSource. The only difference being that, the subform has a RecordSource that joins a 2nd table in its query.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
