I have a few tables in SQL Server 2000 and a small Access 97 that has
linked tables used to insert/update/delete into SQL Server 2k tables.
Everything works fine except Updating one of these table through
Access, I get
"Write conflict error" which basicaly says since you have updated
this record some other user has updated it. I know for sure this is
not True, becuase noone else has access t this database.

Hi:
I have a tables in relationship to each other. When I open the main
table (table 1), I see a "+" at the very left of every record. Clicking
on the "+" expands the data of the linked table (table 2).
Now ... when I create a form from table 1, I didn't manage show these 2
tables the same way (with the "+" at the left side of every record) as
it was shown as table. Access insists of making a regular form out of
table 1, but accepts...

I have a database with a split front end/back end. There is a key
table in the back end called Catalog, and it is sort of a central key
table for all sorts of things. It's a list of all the jobs that have
ever been worked on at our company. Records are getting lost out of
this table, but I have no way of figuring out how they're being
deleted. Records should NEVER be deleted out of this table. They can
be marked as inactive, or...

Keep in mind this is my first compiled SQL program Stored Procedure
(SP), copied from a book by Frasier Visual C++.NET in Visual Studio
2005 (Chap12). So far, so theory, except for one bug (feature?)
below. At some point I'm sure I'll be able to laugh about this, akin
to forgeting a semi-colon in C/C++, but right now it's frustrating
(time to sleep on it for a while).
Problem--
For some reason I get the error when trying to save files...

I have a table in Access 2000 with these fields:
OrderID
ItemNo
DateUsed
UsageType
Customers are allowed 10 items per month for free, then the overages are billed separately, so there are multiple ItemNo for each OrderID. I need to update this table by setting the UsageType field to "pre-paid" for the first 10 records for each OrderID, then "invoice" for any overages.
How can I loop through the table and for each OrderID, mark the...

Hey ya'll...I can't seem to figure out why I'm getting this error message, but it all started when I added the new line of code with the recSet5.AddNew --- when I ran the first line, the logic worked and the fields were populated properly, when I added all the rest, it wouldn't run and even when I tried to go back, it still won't run now...I am getting the following error message:
"Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been...

so as to list only records in tblA that
have related records in tblB.
Run the query. HiLite a row. Press
delete key. A record is deleted. How
can you design the query so that you
KNOW in advance which table a
record will be deleted from.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
