Nebula - You might find you get a better response if you can post the code used in your macro (as well as any used in your form) as well as posting the details of the error and the circumstances that cause them.

Some users might be wary of downloading a zip file, especially considering you haven't told us what format it's in.

It worked for me when I opened it. It automatically opened the Main form. Is it supposed to do anything else?

cheers,

Did you also move the file, perchance? In Access 2007/2010 macros, like code, won't run unless the folder holding the file has been declared as "trusted." If you move a file from a trusted folder to one that hasn't been declared as trusted you'll get this error.

Of course, if all you're doing is having the main form open when the database does, you can go to

Tools-Startup

and set it in the Display Form/Page box. Not sure where you'll find this in versions 2007/2010, but Access help should be able to tell you.

Hi, I do a lot of Macros in Access. I do the drag and drop version, I do not do any VB Code. Currently, I use Macros to run all my queries. I want to be able to automatically update the "Comment" field in the Macro with the information from the "Action Arguments". For example, my Action is OpenQuery, the Action Arguments contain Query Name as qryActiveContacts. I want the words "qryActiveContacts" to be in the Comment field. If there is code for...

I noticed that after running compact/repair, I have to recompile my code for the program not to break the next time I open it. What happens is the auto exec macro runs the main() module, then hangs with the second line of code highlighted. No error message, just hangs. If I stop it and recompile the code, it runs again. Does anyone know anything about this? Is there some way to run something to recompile the code automatically after compacting...

Greetings: I have been working on a database and have found a peculiar error. When I open up my database and choose a form called "add inventory", then click on "view reports" and then, finally, double click on a report to view it shows up correctly. However, I have created a search form that does not allow any changes but view/read only. I have the identical command to "view reports" as the "add inventory" form. When I click on the...

I've done a lot of database work, but only scratched the surface with Access. I'm trying to write a macro (executable on-click from a button on a form) that will clear a subset of the current record's fields. My macro is pretty simple-minded: It has eight actions (all SetValue), each one associated with one of eight fields ("items", right?--selected off the table's field list), and each target expression is simply "null". I've associated...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
