I am trying to use an existing report as a subreport in another report. I
have the subreport added to the main report, but the only thing that shows
up where the subreport should be is the name of the subreport. In reading
the Access help files, it sounds like there should be LinkChildFields and
LinkMasterFields proprties in the propert sheet for the subreport. However,
neither of these properties are there for the subreport.. I used...

I've got an A2K report showing students and their costs. Student info
is in the main report and costs are in a subreport for each student.
The user inputs the program desired then only those students in that
program are printed.
I want the subreports headings to print only for the first student on
the page. Is there a way to suppress printing of the headings on
subsequent students on that page?
I tried the following in both the...

I have a main report that consists of 15 subreports. When a main detail item
is produced only selected subreports are produced depending on a certain
control. The subreports generally occupy only 3 columar inches of space and
I want to keep the entire subreport on a page. The keep together property on
the detail section of each subreport is set to Yes but the subreports still
break across a page even if it is the last of three subreports...

I'm having some difficulty and I can't for the life of me figure
out why. I have a main report, rptMain, that contains a report
header (displays the AppTitle), 3 group headers (one is a
header for the "report version" and is being used for a cover
sheet, one is a category header, and the other is an item header),
about 6 subreports in the Details section, 2 non-empty group
footers, a page footer and a report footer.
The 6 subreports in...

Damn this is frustrating. I have used subreports for years and never had
this problem. I have used these things more times than I can remember. Never
have I had this problem. Arrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....etc and ahhh
This should be simple, but... This is a report for a sales order. Parent
report actually shows the header and detail, detail is not in the subreport.
In the subreport is a breakup of committed product by UseBy date.

Using Access 97.
Background:
I have a main report called rptTrustHeader with a subreport
rptTrustDetails in the Details section of the main report. The main
report is grouped by MasterClientID. There are also several other
subreports in the main report's footer. The rptTrustDetails subreport
has two grouping levels MasterClientID and ClientID, with headers and
footers for each grouping level. In the ClientID footer, I have an...

Hi All,
I currently have 2 reports. One report shows Transaction History (I
will refer to as "TH") and the other shows Account Summary (I will
refer to as "AS"). I want to combine the reports into one report
using a sub report. (I still want to view "AS" seperately by itself).
What I have working:
On the "TH" report I have added "AS" as a subreport, linking them on
Social Security Number. It is showing the "TH" report correctly,...

I have created a report and subreport in VB/ASP.NET. The report works fine but the subreport will not display. The subreport, when displayed as a standalone report, works fine. But when viewed as a subreport I get the error that the datasource for the subreport is missing.
I set a breakpoint in the sub that should set the subreport's datasource and the breakpoint is never hit. I have added a handler like shown in many examples. Why is the...

Hi. I have a main report with what one may say is company header details - against each of these headers I have a number of employees in a dfferent table - the link between the 2 tables is company ID. I have created a subreport (within the main report) to list the employees for each company. I have linked the subreport via child / parent link. If I look at the subreport my data is displayed however when I run my main report the data is missing -...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
