Hi folks!
I have a user who wants to see all the data in a memo field when she clicks
on the cell in the table. I suspect that I will have to make a form first
(which I prefer her to use). Has anyone done this before? TIA

Hello,
I have a database set-up with a form and two subforms in it. I have one
of the subforms (replacement parts) set-up where you can pick part
numbers from a drop down box and also pick a description of the part
from a drop down box. These are two separate fields. I want to be able
to pick the part number and have it put in the description
automatically or the other way around. Which ever would by easier?

I am creating a new database, that will contain 2 fields that will have the
same data. The DB is an inventory of computers. the fields I want to
duplicate are the "serial number" and the "computer name" fields. I was
wandering if there is a function that will fill in the "computer name" field
with the data that is entered into the "serial number" field. Thanks

Dear Access 2003 Users,
Is there a way to pop up a MessageBox warning when a user changes data
on a form? Basically, I have one field that I really want people to
think about before changing, so when they get to that field (which is
the first tab stop on a continuous form), if there is data in it and
they change it, I would love a MessageBox popping up saying "Are you
sure that you want to change XXXX to YYYY?". If they hit Yes, the...

Hello,
I'm looking for a way to parse/format a memo field within a report.
The Access 2000 database (application) has an equipment table that
holds a memo field. Within the report, the memo field is printed within
the detailed area. The problem is, the apllication is not setup
properly, thus the users are entering data within the memo field as:
location1 1/1/2005 1/1/2006

A client wants a press of the Enter key in a field on a continuous form to
grab the value of that field from the previous record.
But if they have typed a value and then hit Enter it shouldn't.
I have tried a few ways but the main problem is that after typing a value
and hitting Enter it still grabs the value from the previous record,
trashing the value they just typed.
Any ideas from you lateral thinkers.

On a form, how do I require entry of a field based on the data in another
field? I do not want to require at the table level.
I have a field that the user selects where a refund goes. If they choose
"Other", field "Other Explanation" cannot be Null. If they choose
"Producer" then field "Producer Code" cannot be Null.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

project is sponsored by.
I can set up a form to allow users to specify which of the range of

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...
