Does PHP have a feature to associate Cookie sessions with a persistent
database connection that will allow a single transaction across
multiple HTTP requests?
Here is how I imagine my process: I have an series of interactive HTML
forms. The user begins a Cookie session. A database connection is
opened and a transaction is begun. After the user goes through any
number of pages where they update the database they finish on a page
where...

I know this has been discussed before, as I've seen the Google posts,
but they all leave me with an unanswered question:
Does my DAO code executed in the front end cause the back end to bloat?
(May also substitute UPDATE and/or DELETE queries for DAO code.)
I was just brought on to a project with Access 97 where the all data is
kept on the server. It doubles in size each day, from 80 mb to 160 mb.
The data file contains only tables...

Hi,
We were going merrily along for 6 years using this database to record
all client checks that came into our office, including information
about what the checks were for.
Suddenly, network computers cannot access the database.
The message is...

Hi all,
I have an .mdb file (access database) which has been set to table level
locking (i.e. not just records in question, but the whole table). The
database is also in sharing mode (ie. not exclusive)...
here is my problem:
i have an application that accesses the aforementioned database from Jet
ODBC driver and runs a query which implicitly locks the whole table -

I have a make-table query in a FOR loop that outputs to 'table1.'
'table1' is then referenced by 'Form1.' here's the code:
For j = 1 To rsTable.RecordCount
SerialNumRef.Value = rsTable!SerialNum
DoCmd.SetWarnings False
DoCmd.OpenQuery "Query1"
DoCmd.Close acQuery, "Query1"
DoCmd.SetWarnings True

Here is the situation: I wrote a VB programm, which stores all the
information in a single Access database file using jet engine. It
worked well, however one of my customs reported that there was some
problems with this programm. I checked, the log files showed that the
database was corrupted.
The customer told me that there no 'illegal' operation such as pull out
the plug, or kill the programm via task manager...
So is there any...

The ETL application loaded around 3000 rows in 14 seconds in a Development
database while it took 2 hours to load in a UAT database.
UAT db is partitioned.
Dev db is not partitioned.
the application looks for existing rows in the table...if they already
exist then it updates otherwise inserts them.
The table is pretty large, around 6.5 million rows.

I have added a section of code to a function that is designed to copy data from several tables and place them into a single table. The new table already contains a unique ID and name, and I am working on adding data from the second table to it.
The problem is that the second table has multiple records for each ID. For example, review this sample data:
New Table:
ID NAME OBJ1
1 Billy
2 Bobby
3 Sue

Hey Guys,
I have an access database with a few tables and forms. I was trying to add a new combo box to one of my forms and to do so i needed to add the referenced data to my reference data table. simple or so I thought, but while attempting to do so I got the following error ""database engine could not lock table because it is already in use by other " . I am currently the only user with access to this database so i'm at a lost as to how it...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
