I'm sure I knew how to do this once, but now I can't find the place to set it.
A report has a group header for Organisation and then a detail section for each Contact in that organisation. The report shows up just fine, except I don't want it to break a page in the midst of the detail records, or before they start.
That is, I don't want ...
ORGANISATION A
page break
Contact 1
Contact 2
and I don't want
ORGANISATION A
Contact 1
page break
Contact 2
The 'keep together' property SEEMS only to keep the bits of an Organisation together or the bits of a Contact.
Anyone know how I can keep the Organisation together with its Contacts (without forcing a page break before each new Organisation)?

In report design, click as shown in the image. This is for Access 2003. ![](https://bytes.com/attachments/attachment/2921d1269012145/grouping.jpg)
Hi, Smiley! Well, your little pic looks very familiar ... I knew I knew how to do this back in 2005.
But ... Access 2007 doesn't seem to have the same facility, or at least not accessible in the same way as per your picture. When you click the groupy thing, your only options seem to be 'Add another group' or 'Choose a field to sort on'. Must be somewhere, I suppose ... I'll let you know if/when I find it.
If its any comfort I can't find anything in Access 2007 either. I haven't really started using it yet, since at work im using 2003, and I only have 2007 at home, but haven't really felt compelled to start exploring 2007.
Mmmm! I am 'compelled', as it's what my users will have! Actually, in general, apart from the awful Help system, 2007's quite good. Tracking down where things from 2003 have been moved to is a bit stressful and sometimes (as in this case) unsuccessful! I suppose it is a 'comfort' that you can't find it either, but it will be even more of a comfort when one of us does! If I do find it, I'll let you know.
Well here is a pic from 2007, where I managed to find the stuff.
Hope that helps. ![](https://bytes.com/attachments/attachment/3010d1270576793/group2007.jpg) NeoPa 32,579

I have a grouped report that starts a new page at each group. All the field
labels for the report are in the group header because there is a subreport
in the top part of the report that needs to grow (The subreport can't grow
in the page header!). Each page holds 21 records. I need the labels on each
page so I set the Repeat property of the group header to Yes. When a group
has 42 records, I get two pages of records with the labels at the...

I have a report with pages breaking in the middle of text box controls.
And it's not just on a line-by-line basis, but sometimes (in a
situation that I can no longer recreate) just the bottom portions of a
line's letters were showing up at the top of a page.
My experiments show that Access will ordinarily break before a text box
if the whole thing won't fit, but I haven't been able to find a
property that will control this behavior.
I...

Dear read,
In a detailed part of a report you can use a form as print layout.
In case the number of record to be printed are not fit in one page the group
header will print on top of the page
and the details are printed on the next page.

I am printing a very basic report with a detail section from a query.
When the detail prints out everything is duplicated. For example, if
there should be two lines, there are four due to the duplicates. I
have checked the source data and there are no duplicates in it.
Can anyone shed any light on this problem?

Hello,
I have a database with a table of projects and a table of tasks (each
project can have multiple tasks). I have a report that has a group
header for the project name, etc., and then the tasks appear in the
Detail section.
Is it possible to have the project information in the group header show
up on the report even if there are no tasks (i.e., no records in the
Detail) for that project? How would I do that?

Hi,
I am trying to create a dynamic crosstab report which will display number of calls handled (I work for a call centre) per day grouped by supervisor.

SPID (supervisor ID), total:group by, as row heading
Date, total:group by, as column heading
Calls handled, total:sum, as value
Date, total:where, criteria between and - this is taken from a form,

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
