Help on building a flat schedule for 50 to 100 plus employees

2 New Member
We have this database to track all our employees. I am trying to build a 14 day schedule to track all employees appointments leaves etc... I am sure this needs to be done in vba code but I am not that familiar with programming. I have an attached database if some one could lend me a hand figuring this out. I have two forms schedule and schedule2. I am need to make a flat schedule not listing everyone twice or more when they have different appointment and how could I list more than one appoint in a listbox. Form Schedule shows an example with info. I will also be breaking this down to 3 shifts with master view looking at all shifts broken down. This product needs to be printed for those who perform rollcalls for each shift. I will also need to move people around from shift to shift. The break down of each shift will be supervision at the top then crew1, crew2, crew3, etc... each crew consist of 4 employees supervision is 2 to 6.

Answering questions is one thing, but don't expect anyone here to build your application for you. There are websites where you can hire programmers like ScriptLance.

Not looking for anyone to build the database... Just some help with the schedule form I started. I can figure things out for myself if someone has a code ideal to compair the Name field and pull the schedule across only showing one Name and everyday they have appointments. My bad for posting my database before being asked and but felt easier to show what I am trying to do than explain my somewhat working copy as everyone's info and I am able to email appoint reminders. Thanks for your comments will continue to search for something they may be doing something close to what I am trying to do.

Posting the database is not the problem. It is the nature of the question. It is simply too general and open-ended. We try to avoid such questions as they tend to tie us up for hours on a single poster. This doesn't work very well when you have a whole forum full of questions to try to cover.

Further to what my site colleagues have advised you, from what you have told us of your requirements the tasks you are asking assistance on are decidedly non-trivial! Setting up a calendar to record appointments and so on is difficult enough (see this 143-entry thread for examples), never mind moving appointments etc.

Seems like potentially many tens (if not hundreds) of hours work is involved (much more than you may think there is), and as NeoPa already said it is too open-ended a task for us to assist in such a general way. Posting the DB does not assist in such circumstances, as to understand someone else's project itself takes a time investment which we as volunteers assisting posters just don't have in such an open-ended way.

The way you describe some of your requirements makes me think this is student project work - but whatever the source, it is just too much for us to handle in the way you have presented it.

Good luck with your project anyway.

I am trying to learn iSQL*Plus for the 1Z0-007 exam. I am having a bit of problems with the substitution variables. My understanding was that they behave as in SQL*Plus, but my experiments beg to differ. I log on to the sample schema 'hr' and enter the following statements: -- statements begin set verify on define name = K%

Basically, I need to build a schedule for employees. It should show a monthly/weekly view at first, with just employees names (who is working that day) visible on the given dates. Then, we'd like to be able to drill down on individual dates and see what hours each person is scheduled for that day. This seems, complicated, so I'd rather not build it from scratch - especially if templates for something like this are available. Our solution...

Hi guys, Got a Visual Basic test to do by wedensday, but i dont have the faintest idea on how to do it. "A company has two schemes for paying monthly shift pay to its employees. Management are paid a flat rate of £250 per month plus the management rate for the hours that they worked. All other workers get one and a half times their hourly rate (see Table 1 below): Table 1 Hourly Rate: Mangement Labourer Turner Fitter (M) (F) (T) (F) ...

I have a multi threaded VB.NET application (4 threads) that I use to send text messages to many, many employees via system.timer at a 5 second interval. Basically, I look in a SQL table (queue) to determine who needs to receive the text message then send the message to the address. Only problem is, the employee may receive up to 4 of the same messages because each thread gets the recors then sends the message. I need somehow to prevent...

Hi, I am a new user to access and am building a database to capture the rotation dates for employees. There is a table called "Rotation schedule" which contains "name", "Duration (in weeks) and "rotation date" fields. Each employee will have many records in this table corresponding to each rotation. What i need to do is that when a user enters the duration in weeks for a particular MA, i need to auto calculate the next rotation date...

Hi, I have searched and searched without much luck. I feel like I am doing the right thing, just not getting the right result, so here goes. I have 2 tables. One has about 100,000 records which includes some unique and some repeated and some null data. The other table about 136 records with similar data. The only field that matches between the two tables is "Physical Address 1" from Table 1, and "Address Line 2" from table 2.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
