E-Mail to other than outlook

489 Contributor
In my master file I have the individual e-mail I have it setup so a double click will start the e-mail with the To: showing the individuals e-mail. This is working fine for outlook but I have an individual that used AOL for his e-mail and here's what happens it starts his AOL email but the e-mail address doesn't show up in the To: box.
Another thing I would like to do is set up an e-mail option that would collect e-mail address from certain individuals be able to put one e-mail in the To: and the rest in the Bcc and also attach a .PDF file that I have just created. Is there a way to do this.
Thanks again for all the help.

Hi,

As you seem to be aware, the SendObject action has arguments for To: and Bcc:, as well as, of course, sending the object. If you need further assistance after reading the help file for SendObject, then come on back.

As for the AOL user:- tell them to change if that is causing a problem!

How did you go Tom? I was only kidding about the AOL user, you know? First things first, then we'll sort them out!

I've had so many other things going that I haven't got to that part. I looked up the SendObject and found where I need to put the information now all I need to do is find some time to test it out. As for the AOL e-mail I told him I'd get back after I've had a chance to look into it. That will hold him off for a little while. Thanks for checking up.

I've got everything working with outlook, I'm suing Tom Wickerath's SendMail which work great with outlook but was wondering if there was a way to use Windows live mail. In the sendmail function there is a set myObject = CreateObject("o utlook.applicat ion") is there a way to change this so I can use windows live mail. I've tried changing the outlook to wlmail but that doesn't work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
