have 2 combo boxes - need one more

107 New Member
Hello,
I was able to use the example on Cascading /List boxes on the site here for 2 combo boxes.
http://bytes.com/topic/access/insigh...mbo-list-boxes

Is there a way to add another combo box that is based on how 2nd combo box is filled and still use this code.
If you could explain it in relation to this example- If when I select an employee- I have another combo box named 'State'- that shows different states each person is responsible for.
Thank you

If I'm not mistaken, Example Filtering on a Form is a similar article that covers a third ComboBox.

If this doesn't help, then please explain more clearly where you have got stuck and we can help. We do need some details of your problem.

I'm looking for some code that makes a list presented in a subform autoscroll in response to the user typing - like a combo box dropdown or a regular ListBox does. I.e. The user is looking at subform that is a list of, say, 2,000 people's names. The first name is "Aardvark, John", and the last name is "Zero, James". Instead of scrolling, the user types "S" and is jumped to "Sammons". Then, on the next keystroke as they type "m", it...

Hi all. Question in two parts. I'm looking to add two combo boxes. The first will contain regions and the second will contain employee names which correspond to the region selected in the first combo box. What is the most efficent way to go about this type of layout - in terms of code and populating the combo box??? thx.

Hi everyone, I've been reading up on how to create a drop down box who's context is dynamically produced based on the value of a previous select box. I've read a lot about some of the browsers not properly readjusting the width of a dynamically produced drop down box, and some browsers having problems adjusting the height and widths (most notably NN). Most solutions involve manually refreshing the browser window and/or padding the...

I am working on a report filter form. It has 2 combo boxes (cmboSelectSubject and cmboSelectCategory) to select criteria. Selecting an entry in combo 1 restricts the options available in combo 2. The row source for combo2 is: SELECT DISTINCT tblComplaintCategory.fldComplaintCategory, tblComplaintCategory.fldComplaintCategoryID, tblComplaintSubjects.fldComplaintSubjectID

Sorry, I've been posting alot of questions regarding cascaded combo boxes here but each time I solve one problem I seem to be faced with a new. This time here's the problem: I've got the combo boxes more or less working but they don't refresh. I'm only allowed one chance to choose the value in the first combo box. If I try to change it to another value, the second (dependent) combo box only displays the options from my first choice in the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
