I have been using Access since office 4.3. I have just upgraded to Office
2003 and am having issues with creating updatable queries. If I link one
table to a selection query based on the same table, the resulting query is
not updatable. OR If I link 2 tables together that don't have a primary key
the result is not updatable.
I know I was able to do this in previous versions since I usually don't use
a primary key.

Here's my scenario. I have a main form (shows team details and rostered
shift for selected date). This form is updatable. On this form I have
a subform which shows agents belonging to the team on the Main Form.
Subform is also updatable. Within the subform I have 2 more subforms.
The first shows absence details, if any, for the selected date (Main
Form) and agent (subform on Main form).

Trying even the most basic queries - select queries joining (inner
join) two tables - and the results are not updatable, and I can't tell
why they aren't. All permissions are on, recordset is dynaset, unique
values is no, etc.. etc..
Here's the SQL if it helps..:

Is it possible to use the built-in filter functions (ie. "Filter by
Selection", etc..) when a form's recordsource has been set to a
recordset object during the load event. When I try to do this, I
receive the message "Cannot apply filter on one or more fields
specified in the filter property".

Here is my code for the Union query "Table

The tables are actually queries themselves.
I made a form for the query, but when I try to update the form, I get a
message that says "This recordset is not updatable." Can I somehow make it
updatable?

I have a postgresql backend with an access front end and I am trying to
redefine the recordset of the form to use an ADO recordset. The problem is
that the CursorType always changes to AdOpenStatic, even if I choose
adOpenDynamic. If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know. The form
works great for viewing, but I cannot update or insert any new records.

I have a popup form with a textbox that is bound to a memo field. I've been
warned about memo fields so I'm wondering if I should use this code. Is
there any risk with changing the form's RecordSource like this? Am I asking
for trouble doing this with a memo field?
