Subform wizard won't start

1 New Member
Please advise me the best solution to have my MS/Access 2003 subform wizard started when creating a subform on my main form. Thanks! Also, other control wizards such as combo box, list box, and command box won;t work either.

You've probably accidentally turned the wizards off; turn them back on! Go up to the toolbar that holds the various form objects (labels, textboxes, comboboxes, etc) and look for the Wizard's magic wand! It's a wand with stars falling from it's tip, usually located to the left of the Labels icon. Click on it and you should be back in business!

Hello everyone. I'm a bit of an Access newbie, so please bear with me. Please go to http://www.dumoti.com/access/ to view the database - 536kb. I'll go straight into examples: In the form NIGO_ITEM, you'll notice a subform to the NIGO_REASONS table. It won't let any data be entered into this subform and it gives the error: You cannot add or change a record because a related record is required in table CUSTOMER_TABLE. (Error 3201) This...

Alien hello to whoever is reading today. Ill try to explain this as simply as possible its just a weird thing thats happening here in Access 2000 subforms.. I think something small is out of place. If you have a sec to share some human thoughts it would be much appreciated!!! I created a subform that is linked to a main form. I locked all of the combo boxes in the subform and basically my goal is to have the subform display whatever...

Hi, I am working on a genealogy form. The only table (so far) lists everybody in the family, one record per person. Each record has an autonum ID. The parent form (frmMainForm) displays the data in each record, which includes the ID of the father and the mother (who also have records in the table). One record per form. I have a Tab Control in the form, and in one of the tabs I have a subform (sfmSiblings) in which I wish to list...

Hi, I have two very similar forms each with a subform. The main form gets a few fields from the user and passes this back to a query that the subform is bound to. The requery is done when the user enters the last qualifying field on the main form. In one case this works fine, the subform shows the data the user wants to update -- which means showing all the data put in previously (ie showing this via the requery and the continuous...

Hi All, I have a Find Record button setup in most of my forms in order to find a specific customer's details. I have just noticed today though that this search will only find the customer if it already has linked data in the subform. This totally defeats the purpose of my search, which is to find an existing customer's details in order to enter new data in the subform. I was wondering if there is a way, in the form/subform situation,...

I have two tables in a 1:M relationship- the parent has 5 fields in the primary key and the child 6 (these are actually pretty far downstream in a complicated ER model, but the problem is between these two). I set up the relationship with no problem- referential integrity and left outer join. I have created two forms- one for the parent and one for the child table. I want to import the child table's form as a subform on the parent...

Hi - I am developing a simple app, and just found a problem that I can't fix after 4 hours of trying. I display a list of customers, and the user chooses one and displays "orders". The frmOrders displays correctly, with the subform - frmOrders_sfrmCustInfo - on top that is correct. The subform displays cust info - name, address, phone. Name is from a function that takes

have a main form with two tabs, and each tab has a subform. The first tab's subform refers to the mainform (this works). The second tab's subform refers to the identity key of the first tab's subform. I can't get the second subform to show the proper records. I have used the child and masterlink fields. I have set the recordsource of the second subform to include the identity key field on the first subform. This an accounting...

HI All, I am out in France at the moment with nothing but a laptop and a dial up connection (Don't laugh). I have Access 2003 installed on the laptop but only the 'typical install' as here I am thinking I will save some space on the old hard drive. Anyway, I am lacking the subform wizard and do not have the installation disk with me and have searched online but can not find the wizard files anywhere. I need the wizard urgently or some...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
