Hi all,
Using Access 97 Front End, linked to SQL Server back end.
Required data is spread across three tables, with one table linked
one to many to the two others.
I created a report based on one child and the master (inner join),
which works properly and loads to preview in less than a second.
Created the second report using the third table, with a select

I couldn't find anything at
http://www.mvps.org/access/reports/index.html
I have a report with static (name, address, etc) in its report header
and a subreport in the report's detail section
the subreport has column headings in both its report and page headers
(until I figure out which is best)
when I print the report, the subreport headings show on the first

Hello,
I'm trying to use the where clause in OpenReport to limit the data return
on the subreport. Is there a way to do it using that method or OpenReport
only work with the report you're opening?
Thanks

I have a grouped report with a subreport in the group footer. The report is
set to start a new page for each group. All the labels for fields are in the
group header and there is a subreport in the group header also. The
subreport in the group footer is based on a query. I have code in the group
header that runs a function whose value becomes part of the criteria in the
query for the subreport in the group footer. The value of the function...

A report has a subform. The subform is set to datasheet view and its
RecordSource is a select query that includes a memo field from the
source table. The memo field's Can Grow property is Yes, and the
subform Detail section's Can Grow property is Yes. The report Detail
section's Can Grow property is also Yes.
When run, the select query's memo field has all the data. However,
when I run the report, the subform does not show all the...

I tried to fix a problem for a client today in which report sections and even
individual text controls in some of their reports are being split across page
boundaries. Of course, I was thinking the answer was just going to be setting
some Keep Together properties to Yes. Alas, it was not to be.
It turns out that the report in question is actually a combination of 2 other
reports based on different tables. The reports should follow one...

I have a form that contains a command button. The command button's
OnClick event builds a report using the CreateReport and
CreateReportControl functions and then opens the main report. I set
the OnFormat property of the detail section in the subreport to a
function which is located in a standard module. I am not able to
access the subreport nor it's controls in the module. I need to hide a
text box in the subreport if there is no...

Arggg... I have a report that calls up numbers from two subreports. One
deals with project labor the other expenses. on each subreport, there is a
calc fields that sums cost and price. the main report then references those
fields to do more calculations. I.e. add LaborCost from labor subreport and
ExpensesCost from expenses subreport. There are a number of these
calculations and they work as expected except when one of the subreports has...

I need to print on to a preprinted government return; the front of
each page has our details followed by two side-by-side records of what
we're reporting on, the back has has just two side-by-side records set
higher on the paper. So far, so easy - report with subreport, and the
main report header holds our details and alternates between visible on
the front and not visible on the back.
I've now been asked to include images of of the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
