Sounds like you're using a date format other than that used in the US. Allen Browne has an excellent article that explains this as well as workarounds on his site found here:

Hi All! I'm fairly new to PhP and basicly trying to learn right now. Now I have a problem - I have a fairly large collection of movies which people keep borrowing from me. And then not returning. So I've put together an Access database with three tables - my media library, a list of friends and email addresses, and a borrow table which uses foreign keys from the other two tables to see who has borrowed what. Borrow Table also has two...

I am using VS.NET 2003, VB.NET, ADO.NET and an Access 2000 database. I want to display a list of all tables in an Access database. I want to put that list of table names in a listbox so the user can select the table they want to use. How can I do this? -- ------------------------------------ Wayne Wengert wayne@wengert.org

I've created a report with many subreports of aggregate data. I want my client to be able to export this data to Excel to make her charts, etc. Only one problem: one of the fields is a "SchoolYear" TEXT field that contains data such as 2000/01, 2001/02, etc. If I export a Query with this kind of data to Excel, it gives me the text value of this field; however, when I export a Report bound to this TEXT field, Excel gives me the values 36526,...

Since upgrading from old laptop (Windows 98) to new laptop (Windows XP), my mail-merge letters are doing strange things with date formats. For instance, my reminder letter for lapsed subs carries the 'expiry' date as a merge field from the database, and this previously was shown as dd/mm/yy (UK format). Now it persists in showing as mm/dd/yy. I've gone to the Windows Control Panel and made sure that my Regional settings show UK format,...

I have a problem with the following line of code. rstOutput! = FormatDateTime("January 1, 2004", vbLongDate) When I run this on my computer at home it runs without problem but when I run it at work I get a Run-time error '3421' Data type conversion error. I'm really stumped as to why this is. Both computers are Windows 2000 SP4 with Access 2000. The field is a Date/Time field with a format of Long Date set. Does anyone have an idea...

The problem: Conditional formatting bold, red when field Value < date() sets the field background to white - always - whether condition is met or not. I want the field unfilled and just red/bold when the date has passed. Background: I have 2 related fields that are only rarely active, so I manage them in the query for the subform: ShowBlanket: IIf(,"Blanket","") and

Hi, I am developing a project in which I am checking for records with overlapping start/end dates. Record dates must not overlap date of birth, date of death, be in the future, and must not overlap existing records from the same table. I had this all working some time ago, but recently when I have gone back to do more testing, part of these validations no longer work. While there have been changes to the code in the meantime, I cannot...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
