Hi
What is the proper way of setting a boolean column (checkbox) to
"true" by default? It seems that the datagrid won't accept inserts if
the default is true.
BoolColPaid = new DataGridBoolColumn();
BoolColPaid.MappingName = "paid";
BoolColPaid.HeaderText = "paid";
BoolColPaid.FalseValue = false;

I have what should be a trivial problem. I am using XMLSerializer to
serialize an object. It serializes boolean values as "True" and
"False". I then want to use an XSLT on this XML, and I want to use
one of these booleans in a test. How do I convert one of these to a
boolean in a test?!? I know that I could compare it as a string to
"True" or "False", but that seems extremely crude to me. The
"boolean()" function (which, to me, seems...

Hi. Totally lost on this one (ok, I admit I'm USUALLY lost!). All works
fine in dev environment (P4, localhost server IIS, XP Pro) Asp.net and
.Net 1.1
In order to access doc files needed for the app, I had to add the
following to <system.web> in webconfig.
<identity impersonate="true" userName="Jabil\BOSASPNET"
password="@ugustus" />

I setup web.config with impersonation="true". On our local server the project works great. I did the same procedures on our staging server, but it failed with an impossible error:
Server Error in '/' Application.

Hi all,
in a simple ASP.Net application with resources in satellite assemblies I
have the following problem:
If I set <identity impersonate="true"/>, accessing a culture specific
resource from a satellite assembly fails with the error message:
"Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture (or the
neutral culture) in the given assembly. ..."

When using VB6 COM objects on a ASP.NET page, and having the @Page directive
with the AspCompat attribute set to true, it causes an error like "Method
'~' of object '~' failed" or "Object reference not set to an instance of an
object".
The scenario is:
- Windows 2003 server
- IIS6
- Framework 1.1

What do you mean by a cookieless session state? When you set the
sessionState section's cookieless attribute to true in the web.config
file, what does that mean?
I read this
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/cpgenref/html/gngrfSessionstateSection.asp)
and it does not explain the meaning of cookieless.

Hi All,
In my application, I wished to check certain things on each page
load, so rather than paste the same code in each pages constructor, I
thought it would be more logical to inherit from Page and place the
code in there. Then each webpage will inherit from my modified page
class. This works fine, but if I try and access the Session from the
modified page class, I get the following error:
Session state can only be used when...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
