I have a function with 7 inputs. The last three have default values.
I want to call that function specifying the first four, skip two and
then specify the last.
I thought I could write this as :
$retval = myfunction(arg1, arg2, arg3, arg4,,,arg7);
.... but Php does not seem to want to let me do this. I get a parse

I've been writing a simple web spider for fun, and I've run into a
problem I can't figure out. The spider hangs (waits for username and
pass) when I hit a page that requires .htaccess authentication.
self.f = urllib.urlopen('http://blogbloc.com/~jay/test/')
#nothing below here gets executed
print self.f.info()
....
It hangs as soon as I call urllib.urlopen(). I was going to try to read

Is there a way to redirect from an ASP.NET page to an ASP page without
showing the ASP page's URL in the client's browser?
This works perfectly with an HTML page, for example:
path = "~/cp/test.htm"
Server.Transfer(path, False)
But with an .asp extension, the I get an HttpException, "Error executing
child request for ~/cp/test.asp."

Just for fun, I'm working on a script to count the number of lines in source files. Some lines are auto-generated (by the IDE) and shouldn't be counted. The auto-generated part of files start with "Begin VB.Form" and end with "End" (first thing on the line). The "End" keyword may appear inside the auto-generated part, but not at the beginning of the line.
