I changed from Access97 to AccessXP and I have immense performance
problems.
Details:
- Access XP MDB with Jet 4.0 ( no ADP-Project )
- Linked Tables to SQL-Server 2000 over ODBC
I used the SQL Profile to watch the T-SQL-Command which Access ( who
creates the commands?) creates and noticed:

This might seem like a basic question but I have some doubts, please

I have a client-server application using java where each client on
each machine needs to directly communicate directly with the database.
Do I need a separate db2 connect on each such machine.

Hi, I'm an Access newbie and need to update an Access database from a
web application. I'll need to add new records and also update existing
ones.
What I was thinking of doing is have my web app create a text file with
Access SQL INSERT/UPDATE statements and get Access to import and
execute this file.

I have written an application (CW.mde) with a seperate data (Data.mda)
file. My Data tables are linked to CW.
I want my user to be able to re-link the data.mda when they change
location/path of the data.mda. Hence, I have an button with the
following:
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdLinkedTableManager
The button works on the computer with Ms Access but not those that on

We have a web-based app that's _really_ slowing down because multiple
clients are writing their own private data into a single, central
database. I guess the previous programmer did things this way because it
made things easy. Well, I'm the person that has to put up with
the long-term headache.
Anywho, someone at work wants things sped up, so what I'm looking

One table in database A...mdb is linked to a table in database B..mdb.
As A..mdb is open and in B...mdb starts an excel import procedure the
progress bar shows that the import procedure stops. After the A...mdb is
closed the excel import procedure runs smoothly. The linked table in A..mdb
is not the same table as used for the excel import procedure. Is there

I am using Access 2003. I have a database with a table in it which is
linked to an excel spreadsheet. When I install the database on
someone else's system, the pathname to the excel file is different.
Howwever, as it is in runtime on their system, I can't update the link

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
