Mysterious fields appearing after changing a Design master Table

After adding 5 new fields to a table in a replicated design master
database, Access is replacing the display of 2 fields with "system
replication" fields. These 2 fields are prefixed with "Gen_", have a
data type of Number and relate to two memo fields present in the
table.

If I query SELECT Master.* FROM Master; all the 5 new fields are
shown, but they are replaced with the "Gen_" fields if selecting by
field.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

I use Ftp to import a comma delim file. Problem: Day 1 file has 5 records. During the course of Day 1 ,users make changes to a field in the five records. Day 2 has same 5 records as they were at the beginning of Day 1(without changes made during Day 1) plus 1 new record. I need a statement that will only add the 1 new record to the master

Using A2K. Last year, a design master for a customer was developed and placed it in their folder on the network which I do not have rights to. I found a replica on my PC that I would like to convert to a design master so that I can make changes to the tables per the customer's request. If I choose Tools..Replication..Recover Design Master, it recognizes that the design master is in the customer's folder. Access Help says I should sync...

I have a master table with over 300,000 records that i need to split into 500+ smaller tables. I have a branch field in the master that i can use as an identifier. I even created a branch table that lists all the 500+ branches that i have. Basically i want to create these new tables and then export them into 500+ xls. files. Is there a VB routine that someone might have to facilitate this. Thanks!

Hi, I am a Mainframe guy. I am working with MS access(maintaining a application) for the last 2 weeks. I had one master database and four replicas. One of my replica had trouble in synchronization(It said, database is in use..). After searching google, I ran "Compact and repair" utlity against my replica. It looks like, it has changed the attribute of my replica.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
