I've been wanting to know how to export from Access and import into
Quickbooks for years and the only "answer" that I got was to check out
the Quickbooks Software Developer's Kit which I've never been able to
locate or find out what it's all about (Intuit's website is terrible,
IMO), or what it costs. And what language it's written in.
I've even offered to pay anyone here to do it here but I don't think
anyone knows how. Search this newsgroup in Google Groupls for
"Quickbooks " and see if you can find any thing useful. I haven't.

To import data into QuickBooks, you need to create a text file in the IIF
format or QB's XML format. IIF is documented (somwhat in) QB Help and on
the QuickBooks website. XML is documented on the SDK website.

I had a look at the SDK a number of years ago and had no luck. For whatever
reason, I wasn't able to get a handle on their file formats (IIF format).
Wish there were some access examples out there, or even straight vb. I'll
search some more, because I really don't think I'll figure it out from the
SDK. Thanks for the response.

to remember it was extremely expensive. We have a work around (QB
class report where the user spends 5 minutes max to import the income
data from our app into their QB classes) - But yet, one of the first
questions we get is "Does your product have a QB interface"? With so
many versions of Quickbooks and their other product(s) I wish we could
get it to work but guess we will stick to our guns.

Have a look at QODBC - claims to provide ODBC for Quickbooks
QODBC is not a direct link to the QB file. It sits on top of the SDK.

I get the same question very frequently from prospective customers. As for
me, I have a quoting/invoicing program mainly for computer resellers. When I
sold computers, I would always let my program track the detail, such as
serial numbers sold, warranty, invoice details, etc. Then I would simply
make daily summary entries into Quicken (not quickbooks) that would have a
split trans for the deposit, breaking it into parts for resale, tax
collected, etc.
I can never figure why customers need to have the detail in both programs.
To me, keep the detail in one, then do summary entries, checks written,
deposits in quick books.

We're being asked to get Quickbooks Enterprise edition for our
business.
We use a completely hand-made online store (PHP and mySQL) and used to
simply create CSV sheets that were imported as invoices into regular
Quickbooks.
But I guess that's neither 100% accurate and may not even be doable in
newer Quickbooks.
