There is something very strange going on here. Tested with ADO 2.7 and
MSDE/2000. At first, things look quite sensible.
You have a simple SQL query, let's say
select * from mytab where col1 = 1234
Now, let's write a simple VB program to do this query back to an
MSDE/2000 database on our local machine. Effectively, we'll

OK, first let me say that I am no DB person.
But I have a user here who keeps getting this error

A google search takes me to various forums where
I am forced to sign up before I can read any answers.
Interesting note here is that the guy in the office next

I am attempting to to write a query that has a numerous nested IIf
statements. The problem that I am having is that it is to long of a
query to be built in design mode and when I build it in sql mode after
a certain point it give me the error message that the expression is to
complex. Below is the sql code that I am using (this works so far,
anything added to the code will give me the to complex error message.)
SELECT .WONUM, .,...

First, thanks Wayne Morgan, Cost Budde, and Saintor for all the help
you've been in getting me through the field of hidden mines in Access.
Most of the program now works, so hopefully I am nearing the end of my
(immediate) questions.
Since this is a bit of a high-level question, first a few words about
what I am (trying to) do. This is an AI medical diagnostic program,
that takes free-form natural language patient statements regarding...

Hi,
I'm using the querybuilder when updating a record in a table (Access).
However, I get a "Query is too complex" message.
The Primary key is autonumbered.
Why is it making such a complex update query string in stead of using the
primary key?
Thanks in advance,

I'm trying to create a client db that will allow me to search for potential
conflicts of interest based either on Social Security # or on Last Name.
I've created two different tables with the following fields in each table:

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
