It has two fields - RibbonName and RibbonXML. And they contain "HideTheRib bon" and "<CustomUI xmlns="http://schemas.microso ft.com/office/2006/01/CustomUI"> <Ribbon startFromScratc h="true"/></CustomUI>"
I attached this to the "ribbon and toolbar options" in Access Options.
But when I use this Database I still get the Home Ribbon.
What am I doing wrong?

This works: (note, you will still have the ribbon space and the Office button on top, you cant get rid of those easily) - <customUI xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2006/01/customui">
-
<ribbon startFromScratch="true">
-
</ribbon>
-
</customUI>
First off, ribbon xml is extremely case sensitive! Compare this to what you gave us and you'll see where lowercase letters were needed.
Second, you have to close your <ribbon...> tag as well.
You should download the Custom UI Editor Tool from www.OpenXMLDeve loper.org. Use this to validate any ribbon code before you try it out, it will pinpoint errors and save you lots of headaches.
Also, this article on MSDN helped me out a lot when I started tinkering with ribbons: Customizing the 2007 Office Fluent Ribbon for Developers
>>First off, ribbon xml is extremely case sensitive!
this nailed it!
In fact I had copied mind from the MSDN article, but theirs is wrong (cause of the case sensitive.. thanks

Cool, I'm glad it worked out for you.
Ribbons are pesky little beasts... and it doesnt help much that Access doesnt return any error messages.. They either works great, or not at all.

How will Access fair in a year? Two years? .... The new version of

I've been clicking around Access 2007 Beta 2 and can't see the custom
menu bar designer. Is it in the beta? Maybe I'm blind. The question
that comes to mind is: Will custom menu bars be the same height as they
were in previous versions or will they be the "ribbon" style that takes
up a huge portion of the screen?
Also when I use Access 2007 to open an Access 2003 database that has
custom menu bars they display as they did in Access...

I've been having a click around Access 2007 this afternoon and have
discovered some things that range from annoying to alarming. My
Access 2003 menu bars, which I, like many others, use extensively, are
now hidden behind an "Add Ins" tab on the Ribbon. Hardly an intuitive
place for a user to find them. Unless my memory is failing me, I'm
sure that Access 2003 menus displayed normally in the 2007 Beta.
The other thing I've discovered...

Hi All
I am currently rebuilding one of my Access 2000 applications in Access
2007.
On the Access 2000 application I had 2 Tool bars and a shortcut menu
on most of the forms/reports
1. A "Print" tool bar and a "Print" menu for all Reports
2. A "Form" tool bar and a "Form" menu for all main forms

Ok, so I'm looking at Access 2007, and I have imported my existing Access 97
application. I'm feeling a bit overwelmed in what to do here. In my original
97 application, I had one form: Mainmenu, which contained a header area /
customer selection area, and a subform. I had a custom toolbar that had a
button for each major screen. So clicking Customers would load the customers
form into the subform of the mainmenu. By choosing a customer in...

Hello all,
In access 2007, does anyone know where to find a list w/pictures, of the
names of pics that can be used in the ribbon? Other than the default
happyface, I only found one other: AddressBook. I'm looking for more names
to use in the line that looks like:
<button id="Customers" imageMso="HappyFace" ......
Also, if you use the form design tool, it puts a nifty little logo in, but

Hi !! I'm about to develop a new project for a client.
Should I go about it in Access 2003 or 2007 ? Purchasing it either
for me or for my client is not a major consideration here ... what I'd
like to know is the stability, speed & ease of use of both the
products.
I believe Access 2007 has a new file format too and that it may be
slower.

Office 2007 & thus Access has had it's menus replaced with the Ribbon
Bar. It's very disconcerting. In Word, Excel, Access, I feel totally
lost. Also all the shortcut Menu pulldowns don't work anymore ...
eg
Alt F-S to save a file
Alt F-U for Page Setup in Word/Excel
etc. etc.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
