Hey people,
I have to convert MS Access 2000 database into mysql database, the whole
thing being part of this project I'm doing for one of my faculty
classes. My professor somehow presumed I knew db's and gave me long list
of things to do with that particular database, first thing being that
particular conversion. Truth is that I don't know a first thing about
db's, let alone using mysql... I downloaded mysql form www.mysql.com and...

I've just begun converting some websites from ASP.NET 1.1 to ASP.NET 2.0.
I'm consistently losing web control declarations when converting aspx pages.
All declarations like this disappear and I need to re-type them manually...
Protected WithEvents hrFile As System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlAnchor
This occurs when I use the conversion wizard, and when I manually copy/paste
an aspx file into a 2.0 project.
Is this common? Is there a way...

I work for an organization that is migrating from Access 2000 to Access
2003. About 5 or 6 years ago we migrated from Access 97 to Access 2000 with
no problem. Will I have trouble converting these already converted databases
to Access 2003? We also have 2 mda's, will these convert with no problem in
the mda format. We no longer have the mdb that made the mda. Are there any
other nuances that I need to look out for?
Thanks in advance,...

Suppose, in a multi-user environment, you
have append query SQL in a VBA procedure
that looks like INSERT INTO MyTable...
and the next line reads MyVar=DMax("","MyTable...
You can never be certain that MyVar will be
set to the key-field value that was created
when the Append query ran. Now, there are
other ways to do it - I know - that will ensure
you 'nab' the correct record. But I was wondering

Hi,
I need a query which would convert Rows into Columns without causing any damages to the original data. I am not supposed to solve this by creating temporary tables and later dropping it.
I have a table which is in the below format:
LOGTYPE CLLI SWREL RPTDATE CNAME CVALUE
avl-stplan tahlt01 EAGLE537 08/11/2007 TCPRSTSENT 12
avl-stplan tahlt01 EAGLE537 08/11/2007 IPHDRERR 88

Hi,
Quick one for you, i'm importing a file which has a long date and time format, so once imported i update each date field with the correct format (dd/mm/yyyy).
I wrote this in on click of a button in Access 2007 which works great:
DoCmd.RunSQL ("UPDATE " & tName & " SET = Format(,'dd/mm/yyyy'), = Format(,'dd/mm/yyyy');")
However i run it in Access 2000 and it converts to American style mm/dd/yyyy!?

Hi,
This is driving me crazy, but I am sure I am missing something simple. I have built an Access 2007 report that shows 2 rows of sales data from each of a bunch of store locations. My table has the date, the location and the sales_amount. I need to have my report group on locations. The resulting rows include a date and the sales_amount, and I have been able to display the sales_amount for a requested date (through a parameter query) and the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
