Update Subform when mainform info changes

I have a form "A" that is set on table vessel names. I have subform
"B" that is set on table vessel info.

I want form "B" to update based on what vessel I choose in form "A".

I know this is an easy one. :)

Make sure the sub-form's Child/Master link fields are set up correctly -
i.e., there has to be a linking field between the 2 forms like a Vessel
ID or name, etc.

To find the Child/Master link fields: display the master form's
Properties dialog box.
Click on the sub-form control.
Under the Data tab ensure the link field is in the "Link Child Fields"
and "Link Master Fields" fields.
If they are empty click the build button (the button with the 3 periods)
to the right of the fields to have a wizard suggest possible fields to
link on.

I have built a database with a <Mainform> and a <Subform>. My problem is twofold. 1. My subform is set as a continuos form with AllowAddiotions set to NO (ie. a list of Issues to the client on the mainform) 2. To add new issues, a button is used and a pop-up form is used to add an issue with more detail than what's available on the subform. 3. On accepting the new Issue from the pop-up the pop-up closes and you are returned to the...

I'm sure there is a workaround for this, but haven't found it yet. I have a mainform with two subforms and after one or both of the subforms are updated, then clicking the Refresh button on the mainform (to show updated values), causes the updated subform(s) to automatically scroll up to one blank line if a new record was entered, or to the line that was edited. All of the prior subform records are not viewable or accessible until exiting...

I have made a mainform where you can choose a Department (from Department table), then a subform pops-up showing the users in that Department. Now I want to make 2 buttons on this subform to pop-up new (sub)forms to add or delete a user to/from this Department, but this DepartmentID must be updated in the User table, how can I fix this and how do I refresh the first...

Please advise... I currently have a Mainform (Customers) and a Subform (Service Requests) with a one to many relationship (one customer, many service requests) with a CustomerID that is unique for each customer and is autofilled on the subform. Subform contains field called TicketID (which there could be multiple instances of and is not referenced on the mainform at all). I want to be able to type in a TicketID and have the mainform...

I have a main form with multiple Subforms that are all displaying Datasheet information related to the Main form record. When I make changes/adds to the records(s) in the subform and tab to another subform, it saves those previous subform records fine, but when I make changes to the subform records and then change the mainform criteria, it doesn't save those subform records. I can use an event to prompt for saving the records on the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
