Is there a way for me to know if or which command button was just
clicked that triggers the LostFocus event for the current control on a
Form?
I have a form that has many types of users who each have their own set
of fields they can change. Therefore I use setfocus property in the
lostfocus event for some of the users to get from one control to
another. Since I am "directing traffic" with setfocus, the users are
unable to use the...

I have a data input form and need to automatically duplicate the existing
record as a new record by clicking a button. The main purpose to duplicate
the record is that the new record is very similar to the existing record
with minor differences. It will save the data input operator a lot of
afford by editing the minor difference only. However, the new record is not
allowed to be saved if the operator forgets to make the modification for...

I searched here for an answer. I am entering records into a database, and it
would save a lot of time if I could duplicate a record that is very similar to
the new one I am about to enter, then make one or two changes to the new one.
This is the problem I have with Access. Look at this answer!
>Private Sub btnCopy_Click()
>On Error GoTo handle_error
> Set cnxn = CurrentProject.Connection
> Set rs = New ADODB.Recordset

Greetings. Before I begin, I have been stuck on this problem for about a
5 days, now. I have tried and just seem to be not getting anywhere. I
know that the explanation is lengthy, but I am a relative newcomer to
Access and need to be methodical until it become more familiar. Thanks
in advance for your help.
I have a form with a subform that has a subform.
form: frmEvents
subform: sfrmTrialInfo (controlname = )

Hi All,
Here is my situation: I have a form where the user can perform a
number of tasks. One of these tasks is to enter a new record. The
form has an 'onsubmit' property to validate the data if the users
enters a new record.
However, there is also a button to allow the user to 'duplicate' a
stored record. In that case, I do not want to perform the entire
validation since most of the data will be fetched from the database

I have a continuous form. there is a command button with the following code
for the OnClick event:
DoCmd.OpenForm "frmPlants", , , "PlantsID =" & Me!PlantsID
I click the button and frmPlants opens up with the record that corresponds
to the one on the cont. form.
I put that same code for the OnClick of an image control (i.e. the user
clicks a little icon to open the form instead of a button) and frmPlants

I have been trying to create a purchase order database in Access, and I have been successful in creating all the tables, queries and reports that I need. I have only one issue: I need to copy the PO - which has a relationship set up as one-to-many with a subform that includes the PO items (Qty, Desc & Price). I want to be able to create a duplicate record using a simple command button, that not only duplicates the main record, but includes all...

I have a form that has a duplicate record command button and I need to create an event that will clear two of the fields once the duplicate record is clicked so that the user will know that it has been clicked. Can anyone help me create this event or any event that will notify the user that the duplicate record button has been clicked?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
