report repeats himself three times

Hello,

I created a report in Acess2000 and now it repeats itself three times.
At first I thought its a problem with the page margins but that would
mean that empty or almost empty pages would follow the initial report!
In my case the whole report repeats itself completely.

I hope that someone can help me on that

cheers

Actually, it would mean that an empty / almost empty page would follow each
page of the report.
In my case the whole report repeats itself completely.

There are a couple of possibilities I can think of:

(1) There's something wrong in Access. If you have not applied all three
Service Packs and subsequent patches, then this could very well be the case.
Or, if there had been an error installing Access on your machine, then this
could also be the cause.

(2) There's something wrong with your report.

It's unlikely we will be able to help you in the first case -- you'd simply
have to obtain and apply the Service Packs and patches and see if that
helps.

As to the second possibility, if your car wouldn't move until you started it
three times, and that was all the information you provided to your mechanic,
would you expect that mechanic to be able to tell you how to fix it? You'll
have to explain, in detail, what you have, and what you are doing with what
you have for us to have any ideas to suggest how to avoid the problem.

As a final thought, could it be something as simple as when you print the
report, you have set "number of copies" to three, in the File | Print
dialog?

Hello,
I try to be more specific now and I just ignore the comment on "number
of copies"!

The report consists of 4 integrated subreports all of them showing
some data from different querys. There is also a Form which sets two
criteria for the querys, these two criteria are also displayed in the
header of the report.
Everything else is pretty much standard, page number, date and so on.
These things all work properly and if there wouldn't be to more pages
of the report with the same content, everything would be fine.

What is the RecordSource for the main report? That could/would affect the
number of detail records produced. What is the LinkMasterField s and
LinkChildFields property of the top-level Subreport Control? What do you
mean by "integrated subreports"... each nested in a higher-level subreport?

You are likely to have to give details of the criteria gathered by the Form
and how you apply it in the Queries, the details of the Queries, and the
Reports of which they are the RecordSource.

Ignore anything you want, but simple mistakes are often the source of
problems reported in the newsgroup.

Does your report recordsource have dupe data?

1) If the form is programmed to open the report after entering the
parameters, it might be mis-programmed to open the report 3 times.

2) The number of comies may be set to 3 in the Page-Setup dialog.

3) if the report's main query is mis-programmed, it may be returning
3 copies of the record that meet your criteria.

4) to infinity) only you have the .mdb to debug.

This one really has me going. Probably something silly. I'm using dcount for a report to determine the number of different types of tests proctored in a semester. My report is based on a parameter query which is the recordsource for the report. The parameter is <=. The query returns the correct amounts upto the date entered (no need for "between" dates here). There are 8 textboxes with dcounts; 2 other boxes Sum some of these

Hi folks, I'm looking for a little advice here. I need to create a report that is totals only, with no detail records. I have a database with a lot of individuals (people) and the report has to have some overall totals, totals per state, totals by gender, race/ethnicity, and several other criteria. This report does not need to (and should not) report on each individual, just the totals. I can create expressions for each of the items I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
