Access 2007 command buttons do not function - database in Access2000 format

Trying to install some software on Access 2007. The software works just
fine on earlier versions of Access.

I have been told that it works on Access 2007 but I have not seen that
personally.

The command buttons on my user-created forms do not function when it is
run under Access 2007.

The operating system is Windows XP home SP2.

The main menu opens up like normal.
I can open any form from the ribbon at the left.

I can run a query from the ribbon at the left.
I can open a table from the ribbon at the left.

I checked references and none are missing.

I tried converting to Access 2007 database format and no references
missing and still the form buttons do not work.

the form buttons were created with teh Access 2003 button wizard and
generally open other forms, reports or queries.

What do I need to do to get the buttons to function?

Is your database located in a trusted location ?

I've been clicking around Access 2007 Beta 2 and can't see the custom menu bar designer. Is it in the beta? Maybe I'm blind. The question that comes to mind is: Will custom menu bars be the same height as they were in previous versions or will they be the "ribbon" style that takes up a huge portion of the screen? Also when I use Access 2007 to open an Access 2003 database that has custom menu bars they display as they did in Access...

Just found out that the Microsoft Rich Textbox does not support full text justification, since it's based on Version 1.0 of the RichEdit Window Class, and full text justification is only available in versions 3.0 or later of the class. However, also just found out that the new Rich Text property in Access 2007 ALSO does not support full text justification! This seems incredible, that MS would create a brand new application, and not...

Need a little help trying to figure out how this runtime program works for Access 2007. I created a database on my computer in Access 2007. I then download a copy of Access 2007 Runtime and loaded it on another machine. I think proceeded to try and open the database I created using the Runtime program, but all I get is a blank screen. From my understanding, runtime is supposed to be able to open and perform minimal tasked to databases that...

I have an Access Data Project (.adp) connecting to a SQL Server 2005 DB over the internet. The project has been running in Access 2003 for a couple of years, and performance has been very good. When I convert it to Access 2007 (maintaining the 2002-2003 file format) it gets a LOT slower. It takes about 3-5 seconds just to tab to a new field. Everything seems to work, it's just as if it is moving in molasses. Any ideas on what could be...

We are currently converting from Access 2003 to Access 2007. I have an Access app that is going to be very difficult to convert. This App is used by people that are out in the field and are a long distance from where our Access Databases are. So that is why we have Replication set up. So they have a local copy that they can replicate to our copies when they are in a high speed area. Since they have data on their local laptop we use...

I am continuing to develop an Access 2007 application which was originally converted from Access 2003. In Access 2003 I was able to disable the Access Close button in the top righthand corner of the screen. I have been unable to find any way to disable this button in Access 2007 and subsequently I have been forced to find ways to detect and handle the situations after the Access Close button has been clicked. I have been largely...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
