Hello,
Houston, i´ve got a problem... ;)
I am trying to make a subform Details which contains the following information (i am only mentioning the relevant ones)
- Country
- Currency
- Date
- Excange Rate
the information is retrived from the following tables:
- tblCountries
1. ID
2. Name
3. Currency (foreign key - Looks up in tblCurrencies)
- tblExcangeRate (here i´ve got a multi-field primary key - date¤cy)
1. Date
2. Currency (foreign key - LookUp tblCurrencies)
3. Rate
- tblDetails
1. ....
2. Country (foreign key from tblCountries)
3. Date
4. Quantity
5. Price WHAT I want?
I want the exchange rate to be displayed in the frmDetails only by typing in the cboCountry and the txtDate.
I already managed to display the currency (througt the foreign key-country, but I just can´t succed in displaying the right excange rate every time (it´s like my querries are not dynamic....I mean, the query is not made for each record-based on the values in the form, but i always get the results from the 1st record I tried)
I am also incertain about the proper relations between tblDetails, tblExcangeRate & tblCoutries
Hope I´ve been clear enough....sorry for my english and in case it´s a stupid question sorry about that too.
Thank you in advance.....

Is it possible to either post the queries that you're using or if you're using VBA, can you post any code segments. I still need more information as to what kind of relationship you established as well as what relationship you've setup between what would be the main table of the form, and what is going to be the children.
thanks,
Joe P.

I have created the following interest to calculate the interest for
the following currency pairs. I have tried to combine them in macros
using conditions but the next query that is run in the macro ends up
deleting the previous interest value that has been generated by the
query. For example if query 1 is run on the table with currency pair
USD/CHF then the interest will be updated without any problem but if
there is another entry in the...

In PHP, I do the following (pseudo code for clarity)...
Query: SELECT distinct(web_contacts.zip) FROM web_contacts WHERE
web_contacts.zip <> ''
Query: SELECT DISTINCT(contacts.zip) FROM contacts WHERE contacts.zip <> '';
Take all those results put them into an array:
$zips = 0;
The zipCode is used as the index to avoid duplicates between tables...

Greetings,
It appears that an Append Query I run in Access XP is randomly failing
to append a field.
I have payroll data being entered into a payroll database. This data
is exported daily to two csv files. (One for updated data, and the
other for unupdated data.)
The CSV files are attached to my Jobcosting database. After the CSV

I have an access query which gets data from a number of different
tables. Although the tables have primary key fields, the order in which
the records are returned means that none of these are in ascending
order in the query result set. I need to include in the query a field
that numbers the records in the order that they are returned. The
numbers must be unique and ascending but do not necessarily have to be
consecutive.

Hi,
I have a table such as below and I want to write a query which says
"For each product, Exclude all Rows where Rate is 0 and Code is not D,
but if any of the rows for that product is found with an Indicator is
L, then only use that row and ignore the rest (just for that product)
I have tried some way, but never get the exact output I want and the
nested joins I think 3 or 4 in total, make it impossibly slow to run...
Any ideas??

Hi Guys,
Sorry if this is a really stupid question. I am trying to upsize my Access database to SQL server. When I used the Access upsizing wizard, some of my queries didn't get upsized so I am building them as views in SQL server. I am having problems doing calculations on fields within the query. For instance, I need to have the following calculation performed on the query below. I want it contained within this query because it is the...

Hello,
I have a calculated field in my query that uses a function to come up with the value. The function has various fields from the table used in the query passed into it as parameters. For some reason, it pulls the values of a few of the fields for a few of the parameters, but for the others it is assigning the parameter the value of zero instead of what is actualy in that field. I have even tracked one of the fields back to the table and...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
