Reporting: Showing Number completed and % against Org Total

10 New Member
I need a report which will show how many tasks have been completed for each employee and a percent of that based on the total tasks possible.

Example:
Tasks Total Pct
compl tasks Completed
Joe 5 20 25%
Mark 10 20 50%
Steve 5 20 25%

I'm drawing a blank on how to get the 20 for each person.

In your report, you should be grouping by employee, then task. If that is the case, then in your Task group footer, you should have a textbox with its control source set to = Count(*).

I understand the footings, but is there anyway I can get the overall total to print at the employee level?

Have you tried using DCount or DSum to get the overall total?

or

Make a query which gives you the overall total you want. It should only return one value or column (overall total). Include this query with the original query/table for the report. You do not need a linking field or column since you want this value included for every column. Do not sum it in the footings or it will exaggerate your totals.

At the employee level, try placing the following expression in the control source of a textbox: = Sum(Count(*)), where Count(*) is the indivdual task count that was mentioned above.

Alternatively, you could use the DCount function as the expression in the control source of your textbox. Domain aggregate functions like DCount can be used to accmulate totals at whatever level you want.

=DCount("[Tasks]", "YourQuery" , "[Employee] = '" & Report!Employee & "'")

=DCount("[Tasks]", "YourQuery" ) 'for overall task count

I am running a profiler trace against a database and noticed that the reads column always shows 0. When running the same trace against another machine I get back values in the reads column. I took a query that profiler reported as having 0 reads and ran in in query analyzer wtih STATISTICS IO on and confirmed that there are in fact reads: Table 'tt_cawardalloc'. Scan count 1, logical reads 8, physical reads 0, read-ahead reads 1. Table...

I am currently developing a database that will spit out job completion stats each day of a given month. I have a table that has lists the number 1 through 31. I am using this as a static table. Here's my issue. We've decided to replace a very critical (without it the business would lose lots of money) departmental reporting system with a built from scratch system based on .NET. The key component is a datagrid (it really turned the CIO's head). The issue is that the data source is Oracle. We've got a very complex reporting system that produces dynamic sql and sends it to oracle and takes back the result set and displays it. ...

OK so here goes. I have created a table for my "employees details" including "employee number". I have also completed another table which shows orders by "employee number", details of order etc. I created a query which shows each employee on its own line with a "total number of the orders taken" by the employee rather than a random list showing each individual order. so for example it shows: Employee ID Total Orders Employee 1 ...

I want the GUI of the spinoza system to not piss me off with the usual type of progress reporting one sees: the flashy, colorful, and utterly uninformative gizmos that go back and forth and round and round until who knows when. Therefore, the following C Sharp .Net code constitutes a theory of progress reporting. I claim that any fixed-count (limit available at run time before the start) for loop can be monitored by considering it as...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
